Is Fukuoka a good place to build and grow a startup?

Recently visited Fukuoka and am really impressed by the culture, life, and vibrancy of the entrepreneurial community there.

What're your thoughts on Fukuoka as a place to build my tech startup?

I’m from Fukuoka and have seen the startup scene grow a lot lately. Some thoughts:

  • Government is super supportive (Startup City program, easy visa for founders).

  • Cost of living and rent are way cheaper than Tokyo or Osaka.

  • People here are friendly and open — good community vibe. Lots of foreigners too

  • Many coworking spaces and events for startups now.

  • You might still need to visit Tokyo for investors or clients sometimes, but its easy with bullet train.

Overall, great place if you want a relaxed lifestyle and steady growth for your startup.

I saw this post earlier today too. Might help give a better understanding of Fukuoka.

Hope you manage to set up there!
