Hey guys, what're your thoughts on AI's impact on Google SEO? Is Google in trouble?

Does creating content make sense today? I have a forum site (kinda like this one) but I'm concerned that no one will visit forums anymore since all the answers will be provided by AI.

At the same time, my forum gets most of its traffic from Google SEO. Should I be worried?

Definitely something to keep an eye on. AI is already changing how people search—Google’s AI summaries (SGE) are taking up more real estate, meaning fewer clicks to websites. That said, forums and community-driven sites still have an edge because AI needs human-generated content to stay relevant.

People still crave discussions, personal experiences, and fresh takes that AI can’t fully replicate. If your forum is niche and has an engaged community, you’re in a good spot. But relying purely on Google SEO is risky—diversify with social media, newsletters, and even AI-friendly content strategies (like structured data and unique insights that AI tools reference).

Short answer: Google isn’t dead, but SEO is shifting. Forums that adapt and build strong communities will survive.
