Malaysian women empowerment organization, Project W announced today that over 1000 fundraising pledges have been received in conjunction with the Pink Pride Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
The campaign, initiated alongside MAKNA charity and 50gram, is aimed at arousing health awareness and to raise funds towards supporting breast cancer survivors.
Through the event, Project W has brought in support from international brands such as Mamonde by Amorepacific, and public listed company Advancecon Holdings.
The initiative has also become the CSR platform for companies such as CKS Glass Hardware, WCWL Communications, iChicken of Eco Foodsoft, and Andrew Tan Academy.
The pledges were also made in the form of purchases of mini flower bouquet stands provided by 50Gram.
Part of the proceeds will go to MAKNA as a support for their mobile mammogram services, which will be free for people living in rural areas.
MAKNA is also playing an important role in services such as bursary assistance, researches, young cancer survivors educational fund, halfway house and more.
The event will also create brand awareness for the companies above via a large LED billboard within the vicinity of Time Square.
