In order to access this feature, you just need to search for your desired eatery on Google, open the business listing info, and a Popular Times section will be shown with an approximated wait in real time.
You could even tap on any hour on the graph to check the wait time for that time frame, just in case you wish to plan ahead for meals.
There's even a rundown of the average time a customer spends dining, and the max time customers are willing to wait during peak hours.
According to Google, the estimations are gathered from "anonymized historical data," which is how it measures wait times for other establishments such as groceries and museums.
Google states this new feature will be rolled out today.
