Kaodim, the Malaysian startup that lets users search for various 'home services', has announced that they will be closing down.
News of the closure was announced on the company's website earlier today.
Effective 1st July 2022, the company will cease all of its operations in markets they're in.
The company currently has operations in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and The Philippines.
In a note shared by company founder Choong Fui Yu, operations had to be halted due to the impact of the pandemic for more than two years.
The pandemic greatly impacted Kaodim
Rising costs, manpower shortages, and operational disruptions due to the pandemic have resulted in the company incurring losses due to a decrease in the number of customers.
After June 30, 2022, all user accounts and data will be deleted, and for service bookings that have been made for a later date, users will have to make payment in cash directly to the service provider.
