Malaysian startup, TheKatil, is on a mission to solve all that — by offering co-living and office spaces for working professionals.
TheKatil caters efficiently designed, self-contained living and work spaces that are located nearby MRT / LRT stations.
TheKatil was founded by Alvin Aw in 2016 and the startup aims to provide convenient and high quality living experience with affordable price to working professionals.
The team conceived the idea of TheKatil (“Katil” means 'bed' in Malay) out of "own personal needs".
The startup emphasises on affordability and convenience with additional surprise perks such as free movie tickets when tenants pay rent on time.
As of May 2022, the company managed to achieve 100% occupancy for long term rental and 80% occupancy for short term rental.
Aw hopes to expand into neighboring countries in the near future.
