Monoverse, a blockchain game developer in Seoul, has raised US$3.1 million from Korea Real Estate Investment and Trust.
Monoverse is led by chief executive officer, Jayden Lee and the company is made up of game developers from the 3N Korean game companies NCSOFT, NEXON, and Netmarble.
The freshly raised funds will be used to enhance its play-to-earn, non-fungible token (NFT) game, Frutti Dino and continue expanding into the blockchain gaming space.
Frutti Dino currently has over 100,000 users globally.
The company is also looking to onboard traditional and NFT-based third-party games onto Entropy, a platform that allows any game developer studio to migrate their games to its sidechain.
Earlier this year, Monoverse launched Frutti Dino NFTs on Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange.
Moreover, Monoverse also announced its partnership with Gametopia, a subsidiary of Taiwanese game development and publishing company Chinese Gamer, to move its games to the Entropy blockchain.
