Pandai, an education startup based in Malaysia, managed to secure a whopping US$ 2.03 million dollars backed by various venture capitalists and accelerators.
Pandai offers education resource services catered to students, parents and teachers. Their app has gained 341,281 downloads from students and even garnered support from Malaysia's Ministry of Education.
Amongst the investors include RHL Ventures, who is also part of Dana Penjana Nasional, a fund collaborated with the government of Malaysia to attract foreign venture capitalist fund managers.
Other backers of Pandai include:
"The fund will be used to enhance the app to give a better learning experience for school students, as well as assist their parents and teachers. We are also looking to collaborate with educational institutions and other education providers," Khairul Anwar bin Mohamad Zaki, CEO of Pandai, commented.
