With the recent rollout of ‘Professional Mode’ by Facebook, Instagram has a new feature up its sleeve as well.

“Reels Visual Replies”, a feature that lets users respond to comments on posts with Reels is introduced in Instagram’s latest announcement.

Instagram mentioned that the user’s video reply will pop up as a sticker.

“We love the communities that creators have built on Instagram. That’s why we’re excited to launch Reels Visual Replies, a new feature to interact with your audience,” Instagram tweeted.

Reels Visual Replies will definitely help increase engagement on the platform as seen with TikTok’s video replies, which is rather similar in terms of functionality.

Considering the popularity of the mentioned TikTok’s feature, which was released late Q2 2020, it’s unsurprising that Instagram followed suit as well.

Besides Reels Visual Replies, Instagram has been ramping up the launch of several new features.

The social giant recently introduced a new end-of-year “Playback” IG Stories time capsule feature.

Users will be able to customize and pick up to ten stories to share with their audiences which can be done via Stories Archive.

However, for users to access the feature, they need to have posted more than three stories this year or have Stories Archive enabled.

The new feature is currently accessible for a limited time, which is until December 30th.

Playback posts will be suggested for the user by Instagram, but it will also have the option to select what the user wants to share.

Shareable end-of-year recaps such as Playback have been made popular thanks to Spotify’s annual Wrapped experience that, without fail, will be shared religiously across social media every year.
