Segwitz was founded back in 2019 by 21-year old Mukesh Maran after 2 business failures.
His first venture started right after high school, which came to a halt after 12 months of running it.
His second venture, Joe Games, was a video game development startup that launched 4 mobile games.
However as the venture did not drive sufficient revenues to be sustainable, Mukesh had to find other sources of income — which was when he started providing IT consultation and web development services as a freelancer.
Over time, demand for his web development services kept increasing, and in December 2018, he decided to close down Joe Games.
Segwitz was founded the following year.

While he was starting Segwitz, Mukesh realized that many SMEs and large companies were spending huge sums of money to build websites and apps, only to have them fail in the end due to poor implementation and market adoption.
Mukesh also realized that many software development houses in the market rarely understood their clients' actual needs, and were all about building more "features" instead of products that were actually useful to their end users.
At Segwitz, he wanted to approach things differently — by being the only company in the market that strategically implements technology that brings exponential growth and competitiveness to businesses, while providing the best customer service in the market.

Since their inception, Segwitz has grown by over 300% year-on-year, starting with just a team of 3 people to now 29 people strong.

Mukesh adds that the company has also recently launched Segwitz Sandbox, a go-to-market program focused on helping companies end-to-end with everything ranging from customer adoption, operations, and product improvements once their solutions are launched to the public.
