Known as one of the very first coworking space providers in New York City, The Farm SoHo has become a thriving hub for designers, developers, digital nomads, freelancers, tech innovators, and thought leaders, since it was founded in 2013.
Now the company is going the extra mile to help business owners achieve their dreams of taking their startups to the next level.
Apart from providing coworking spaces at its flagship location - which was built with materials repurposed from a century-old Missouri barn - The Farm SoHo also offers full-floor serviced offices and a number of superb event venues.
These include fully equipped meeting spaces, sun-soaked loft venues, a 2,300 sq ft rooftop space with views of the Manhattan skyline and their latest addition, a 7,143 sq ft raw, industrial venue “where open brick and metal meet urban refinement”.
Not content with playing a passive role, the company has now announced that it is teaming up with an acquisition advisory venture with the goal of guiding entrepreneurs to investors who are willing to fund their groundbreaking business ideas.
The idea is that new and established entrepreneurs - whether they are Farm members or not - will be given the chance to be matched with the best funding opportunities.
Through live, digital investor pitch nights conducted via Zoom, entrepreneurs will be afforded the opportunity to present their ideas to potential investors. And since these pitching events will be held online, participants do not have to go anywhere to meet investors from various parts of the globe. They can pitch their proposal right from the comfort of their own homes!
Each business owner will be given 10 minutes to present their projects. Entrepreneurs who can share their concepts and business plans with confidence will, naturally, have higher chances of convincing investors and walking away with the funding that they need. Confidence and preparation can surely make a big difference at this stage.
Meanwhile, applicants who feel they want some expert guidance may also tap The Farm to help them get ready for the pitching events.
Armed with access to a strong network of global investors for startups, The Farm SoHo is encouraging everyone to join these online pitch events set to take place later in the year. More details about the digital pitch nights will be revealed soon.
Launching a new product or service can be hard enough but things can get even more difficult without having enough money to sustain the business.
The Farm SoHo understands that dilemma - and now its latest collaboration can potentially help change that for some promising startups.
