Richard Branson, the founder of global brand, Virgin, has become the world's first billionaire to travel to space and return successfully.

Branson along with 5 members of his team, took flight to space earlier today, before gliding down into Earth's atmosphere several minutes later.

In an interview in space, Branson mentioned that it was his lifelong dream to travel to space, and encouraged the next generation to pursue their dreams, irregardless of their circumstances.

"I have dreamt of this moment since I was a kid, but honestly nothing can prepare you for the view of Earth from space. The whole thing was just magical", he said in a press conference following the flight.

Aside from Branson, CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, is expected to fly to space on July 20th this year.
