Sea Limited, a Singaporean tech firm, has announced that they would support the advancement of education in one of the country's leading computing schools, National University of Singapore (NUS).
In an effort to achieve ‘cutting-edge research and education', the National NUS School of Computing has received a $37m donation from Sea.
NUS and Sea to expand Singapore’s research and education ecosystem
The academy and the industry’s partnership plans to nurture Singapore’s strength in terms of research and education.
As a long-term effect, the two institutions aim to make Singapore an ‘attractive global hub for innovation and technology investment’.
Both NUS and Sea also plan to increase the profile of local talents while creating various jobs through the use of AI.

Since its establishment, Sea has been committed to integrating digital platforms such as Garena, Shopee, and SeaMoney, among others.
Furthermore, Sea has recently announced the launch of Sea AI Labs (SAIL) in Singapore which aims to take full advantage of AI science and build cutting-edge AI technologies.
