Manabie, a Singapore-based education technology company, is on a mission to bring high quality education to Vietnam.
The company has just raised another $3 million in a recent funding round from Do Ventures, Genesia Ventures, and Chiba Dojo.
This new funding round comes after the company gained significant traction in Vietnam, acquiring over 350,000 downloads since their entry to the market back in January 2020.
Manabie was founded in 2019 by Takuya Homma, who has over 10 years in the education market, and Christy Wong, a former vice president at Lazada.
The company provides offline-to-online education programs for mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English via their learning centres, and supplements the learning experience with a mobile app for added effectiveness.
Manabie also uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to design tailored learning programs for students, while providing toolkits to aid Vietnamese teachers in improving their teaching approach.
Since the company entered the Vietnamese market in January 2020, they have already established 5 learning centres in Ho Chin Minh city.
Moving forward, Manabie intends to use the fresh funds to enhance Manabie’s tech platform and further strengthen its school presence in Vietnam.
With the new funds, the cumulative amount Manabie has raised stands $7.8 million.
