Singapore will reopen its borders to travellers from Taiwan, starting December 18.
Travellers coming from Taiwan can apply for a single-entry Air Travel Pass (ATP) effective immediately, provided they have been in Taiwan for at least 14 consecutive days before departure.
Travellers will also be required to undergo a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test upon entering Singapore, and download the TraceTogether app on their mobile devices.
The news was announced by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) on Friday, shortly after Singapore lifted border restrictions for travellers coming from Australia, Brunei, China, New Zealand, and Vietnam.
"That is the most relaxed rule they have imposed on any traveller and which they accorded Singapore as the lowest risk country," mentions Singapore's Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung.
