Malaysian education tech startup, AOne, has raised $500k in investments from Singapore-based venture capital firm, Wavemaker Partners.
In April, the company received RM200k ($48k) in funding from ScaleUp Malaysia, as part of their cohort 1 accelerator program.
AOne was launched in 2015 as a marketplace for offline lessons and tutoring services in Malaysia.
Since then, the company has expanded into many other areas, including providing learning management system to educational institutions across SouthEast Asia. To date, over 800 teachers and learning centres use AOne's services.
Moving forward, the company plans to use the new funds to expand across the Southeast Asian region.
