Robinsons Singapore, one of the oldest retailers in the country, will be shutting its doors for good.
The company has been suffering losses in the recent years, and the pandemic was the final nail in the coffin.
Robinsons confirmed the decision to close it in a statement on Friday by the company's senior general manager, Danny Lim.
"We regret this outcome today. Despite recent challenges in the industry, the Robinsons team continued to pursue the success of the brand. However, the changing consumer landscape makes it difficult for us to succeed over the long term and the pandemic has further exacerbated our challenges."
Despite the closure, the final 2 stores at The Heeren and Raffles City Shopping Centre may remain open a while for final sales.
