One of MaGIC's most anticipated events of the year, the E-Nation Conference, is scheduled to be held from tomorrow (20th) until the 23rd of October 2020.
This time around, the fully virtual event will focus on covering topics to help businesses navigate and thrive in the new post-pandemic economy.
To achieve this, MaGIC has invited some of the region's most renown thought leaders to share their insights and valuable experiences with the community. Many of them are leaders in government, top executives of corporations, and very successful entrepreneurs.
Here are some of the highlighted panel sessions and key speakers that can't be missed by entrepreneurs in order to understand their roles & positions in the new economy.
The panel session Reflect, Reset and Reform - Thriving in The New World, is one of the key highlights for E-Nation's first day of talks.
Some of the notable speakers for the session include Khairy Jamaluddin from the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Malaysia, Richard Quest, an international anchor at CNN, Fleur Pellerin from France, and Ed Vaizey from the UK.
Nadiem Anwar Makarim, Indonesia's Minister of Education and Culture and most notably the founder of SEA's ride-hailing giant Gojek, will also be on the session.
The session will focus on sharing ideas and strategies in building a high income, high technology, and a truly innovative nation where technology, education and business are the three main drivers of a nation.
Piloting the Digital Future: Advancing Countries, Companies and Communities session will focus on discussing the transformative forces of AI, digitisation into new economic strategies, innovative business models, and developing stronger human capital in organisations.
The featured speakers include Tan Sri Michael Yeoh, President, KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific - an Independent non-profit Think Tank — a public intellectual, social entrepreneur, author, and international speaker. He has over 35 years of senior corporate management, consulting and boardroom experience.
Marc Woo, the country Head of Google Malaysia will also be on the panel. Mark was among the very first hires for Google and oversees sales and business development operations as well as partnerships for Google’s products and services. He was previously the Industry Head for the e-commerce, travel and financial services business for Google in Malaysia for the past several years.
Last but not least, Tony Fernandes, the CEO of AirAsia will also be sharing the spotlight.
As the country accelerates towards greater digitalisation in the post-pandemic world, Cheryl Goh will share how Grab embraces new ways of doing business to adapt to the new normal in the Trendspotting - Embracing the New Business Model session.
Cheryl was part of the early founding team at Grab, another ride-hailing giant in Southeast Asia. Starting in Kuala Lumpur as a one-man marketing team, she has set up the marketing practise across Southeast Asia for Grab over the last 7 years. Today, she leads marketing in over 350 cities in eight countries, covering all of Grab’s business verticals including transport, food, payments and logistics.
