Huawei is organizing a competition to encourage developers to build apps for their platform.

The competition, also known as the Huawei HMS App Innovation Contest, is offering up to $400,000 in prizes ($200k in cash, and $200k in cloud resources) and other incentives for the top 20 winners of the competition.

On top of the prizes, Huawei is also giving out cloud vouchers worth $200 for individuals and $4000 for teams when they each register into the Huawei Developer program.

According to Huawei, there are over 600 million people using Huawei devices across 170+ countries today, making it a great opportunity for developers to bring their ideas to a global market.

Registrations for the Huawei HMS App Innovation Contest are open from today until 30th August for developers across the Asia-Pacific region.
