More companies are adapting to the new normal of working from home.

Earlier today, technology giant Fujitsu announced that the company will halve its office space in Japan, offering unprecedented flexibility to its 80,000 workers.

"Work Life Shift", as the firm calls it, will allow staff to work flexible hours, with working from home becoming the standard across the company.

Fujitsu also announced that the new change will allow workers to choose where they work, whether it was from home, a major corporate hub, or satellite office.

This change follows a similar move in May by Twitter, which is slowly being adopted by more companies in the US.

"This is yet another sign that everything we know about offices and the future of work is being upended. Thousands of employers and millions of employees are learning the pros and cons of the new normal", mentioned Sree Sreenivasan, visiting professor of digital innovation at the Stony Brook University School of Journalism.
