Malaysian digital outdoor advertising provider, Brandlah, has launched an advertising fund worth RM3.1 million to support struggling SMEs that have been affected by the nationwide lock-downs.
The initiative will provide free "out-of-home" (OOH) advertising for at least 70 shortlisted SMEs, each of whom will receive advertising media value of at least RM30,000.
These shortlisted companies will be able to have their advertisements promoted on up to 400 digital screen panels across 77 high traffic locations in Klang Valley (Malaysia).
According to directors of Brandlah, Alex Goh and Lim Ching Wah, the fund is a result of a strategic collaboration with key business partners such as Spectrum Outdoor, Labelz, SkyBlue Media, Lantern Media, Icandy Ads, Out-of-Home Media and Laguna De Bay.
He also added that SMEs need all the support they can get to survive and rebuild themselves, and hopes this campaign will play a pivotal role in supporting them during this difficult period.
"We believe that Malaysians will come out in droves once this MCO is lifted and the pandemic tapers off. There’s a lot of pent-up frustration and huge demand for getting back to being normal again prior to the virus outbreak and this is exactly the best time for SME brands to stand out through OOH campaigns.", mentioned Lim Ching Wah, marketing director of Brandlah.
Earlier this month, Brandlah rolled out multiple ads in Klang Valley, urging Malaysians to stay home during the nationwide lock-downs.
