Following the two-week movement control order (MCO) in Malaysia, MDEC has launched the #DigitalvsCovid campaign, rallying the support of local tech companies to extend their digital services to affected businesses/consumers across the country.
The campaign kicked off with more than 80 Malaysian companies stepping up, offering their services on a free or discounted basis to SMEs.
According to MDEC, SMEs have cited that business continuity, employee well-being, and macro/socio-economic support are the primary areas of concern they're facing now, and this campaign is aimed at alleviating the severity of the struggles they're facing.
The comprehensive list of tech solutions and services for SMEs can be accessed via the official MDEC website, and will continue to be updated as more tech companies come forward to render their assistance.
“MDEC’s Global Growth Acceleration division will continue to explore more industry-relevant business continuity solutions via digital technologies and drive participation and growth in the digital economy,” added CEO of MDEC, Surina Shukri.
