With many countries practising movement control and city lockdowns, millions of people are now staying at home.

Facebook has announced that the company will be reducing the quality of video streaming in Europe to avoid internet traffic congestion.

Bit rates of the videos in Europe have also been lowered for YouTube , Netflix and Amazon.

At this point in time, it is still uncertain if Facebook (and other tech giants) will reduce video streaming quality for other countries.
