As part of China’s continuous efforts to tackle the novel coronavirus epidemic, a new factory with the capacity to produce 10 million masks per month set up and commenced production on Monday.
With the help of local authorities for all the necessary paperwork and approvals, it took just 7 days during the Lunar New Year holiday to set up the factory.
To set up the factory, Lianhe Kangli, a medical device company, had to go through industrial and commercial registration, industrial project approval and environmental impact assessment formalities with the local authorities.
More than 40 companies in Beijing have been involved in the fight against the virus epidemic, half of which have developed products for the prevention, control and treatment of the novel coronavirus.
“They started screening qualified plants immediately upon receiving the request and called all the companies on a shortlist to find out,” Wang Lijun, an official of the Yizhuang area, said.
