Nguyen Van Binh addressed that the Europe-Asia connectivity will bring about business and social opportunity for both continents at Europa Connectivity Forum in Brussels, Belgium, on September 27.

Binh affirmed that Vietnam is looking to serve as the bridge between the EU and ASEAN to achieve these goals:

• Optimising economic opportunities between both continents
• Establish peace and stability
• Unite the diversity of culture, history and institution
• Increase dialogue, mutual trust and solidarity in settling affairs

Beyond the speech, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Takehiko Nakao pledged to continue providing loans with reasonable interest rates for Vietnam’s firms in an effort to develop the economy in Vietnam and its reform process.

Also, Binh and German Minister of Economy and Energy, Peter Altmaier reaffirmed the partnership between Vietnam and Germany that includes the push for the agreement and implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and Investment Protection Agreement.
