MaGIC is holding a major upcoming conference and it's focused on turning Malaysia into an entrepreneurial nation.
The MaGIC Entrepreneurial Nation (E-Nation) Symposium will run from 30th October to 2nd November 2019 at the MaGIC Campus, Cyberjaya, expecting to gather over 1,500 participants.
The launch will be officiated by YB Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Yusof, Minister of Entrepreneur Development, Malaysia this 30th October 2019.
The Entrepreneurial Nation Symposium is a 4-day conference focused on connecting aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, ecosystem influencers, and industry leaders.
Recent entrepreneurial initiatives will also be highlighted together with influential entrepreneurs and speakers.
The focus of the symposium is also to promote the concept of social innovation and social responsibility to encourage the adoption and understanding of the conscious entrepreneurship concept.
The theme for this year's symposium is “Shaping an Entrepreneurial Nation”, and aims to foster in-depth conversations around emerging technology, fresh entrepreneurial ideas, and impact-conscious ventures.
It also highlights industry-specific future challenges and opportunities as well as the collaboration of entrepreneurs in finding new innovative approaches to solve real problems.
The symposium will cut across six pillars which are creative, corporate innovation, education, entrepreneurship, policy, and social entrepreneurship.
This is in line with efforts by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development (MED) in transforming Malaysia into entrepreneurial nation by 2030.
Attendees will be able to participate in 8 stimulating keynote sessions and panel discussions featuring over 40 locally and internationally renowned speakers ranging from seasoned entrepreneurs, advisors, and investors across the region.
The symposium will also feature workshops, themed clinics, a career fair, and startup exhibition.
Confirmed speakers include Datin Vivy Sofinas Yusof, Co-Founder of Fashion Valet and Duck Group, Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim of KRU Studios, Tristan Ace from British Council, Ariz ‘Caprice’ Ramli of Caprice Technologies, Lehui Liang from Social Ventures Hong Kong, Olivier Legrand from Linked In Asia Pacific and more.
"The recent launch of the National Entrepreneurship Policy to transform Malaysia into an entrepreneurial nation by 2030 has resulted in an even larger mandate for MaGIC.
An integral part of what we do is to nurture a generation of resilient entrepreneurs who are equipped with the knowledge of innovation as well as have a deep understanding of technological trends. A strong alignment with UN’s Sustainable Development Goals is also a key outcome that we aspired to achieve.
To do this, we need to do as much work in spreading the message of entrepreneurship and what better way to do that than to assemble like-minded individuals under 1 roof for 4 days to be inspired to kickstart their own businesses and to ignite conversations to gain fresh perspectives around entrepreneurship for the betterment of the ecosystem.
I urge everyone to join us at the E-Nation symposium for a thorough entrepreneurship immersion and to play a part in shaping an entrepreneurial Malaysia,” said Dzuleira Abu Bakar", Chief Executive Officer of MaGIC.
