BEAM initially started out as an event titled "Bridging Entrepreneurs Across Malaysia" (B.E.A.M in short), eventually evolving into an offline-to-online business social networking platform as the events increased in popularity.
The decision to rebrand was made with the goal of breaking away from the generic word "Beam", while still retaining familiarity and relevance with the mission of serving SMEs and startup companies.
Moving forward, BEAMSTART will double down activities related to SME digitalization, talent solutions, and cross-border commercialization for businesses across the region.
