If you are new to online grocery shopping, this article will brief you about the neutral comparison between the two famous grocery-shopping platforms: Grofers and Bigbasket

The reasons below will provide you enough clarity on which platform to begin the favorable online grocery shopping experience by using promo codes for new users.

With the advancement in technology, online shopping is one category that has become a major part of everyone’s life.

It has played such an imperative role, adding to the category of grocery stores making it highly convenient to deliver the vegetables, cereals, fruits, dairy products, packed foods, meat, and others at the doorstep with just a few clicks.

While there are two major factors that cross one’s mind, convenience and affordability are the main aspects that play a role when users make a choice.

This article aims to provide a better understanding between the differences between two of India's largest online grocery platforms - Grofers and Big Basket.

Variety of products:

When it comes to online grocery shopping, the customer does consider the ample amount of variety offered when it comes to vegetables and fruits shopping.

While Grofers tends to stick to normal vegetables such as potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and more, Big Basket offers a wider range of choices, making it easy for the first time customers to shop.

Big Basket even includes a "first order offer", making it a seamless and convenient experience for new users who join the platform.

Convenience:

When it is about the convenience of grocery shopping, past experience and the reviews play an important role in the future experience of customers.

Having said that, Grofers ranks higher in this segment as their delivery is relatively better compared to Big Basket.

Below are the reasons why:

• Free delivery option: While Grofers offers the free delivery option as per their store location, Big Basket offers the same on order amount of Rs.1000 or above. Their delivery charges range between Rs.20-Rs.50 depending on the order type, value, and location.

• Delivery time slot: The delivery slot is another reason why Grofers is preferable since they deliver between 6 am to 11 pm. Whereas Big Basket gives the option of four types of slots to choose from.

• Delivery time: Depending on the store, Grofers claims 90-minute delivery time. On the other hand, Big Basket offers same day delivery if booked before 12 pm.

Affordability:

While both the platform serves good quality product, the affordability bar is on the higher side for Grofers than Big Basket when the prices of the common products are compared. Due to the affordability factor and the discounts being mentioned on their mobile application upfront, users switch to Grofers for regular grocery shopping. For the new users, Grofers promo code new users helps in providing a favourable experience.

User Experience:

Since these platforms don’t have specific reviewing system, the ratings on the mobile application, Google Play Store and third-party ratings help in bringing out the user experience from the past happening of the individual customers. From such rating mediums, both the platforms are well rated and at times, badly rated at the third party platform too. But if we evaluate from the above aspects, more rating goes to Grofers.
