Gaming peripherals company Razer today held a groundbreaking ceremony for the launch of it's brand new, up-and-coming SouthEast Asian Headquarters.
Minister of Finance Heng Swee Keat, Chairman of EDB Dr. Beh Swan Gin, and CEO of JTC Corp Ng Lang were present at the event.
The new office building will be based in a 200-hectare business park at one-north with plenty of office space, R&D labs, and design studios.
It will house more than 1000 employees, who are expected to move in by mid-2020.
“The growth of gaming and esports across the world has propelled us to become one of the first lifestyle brands for gamers since 15 years ago, and we can’t wait to move into our new home to better serve the 2.3 billion gamers across the world,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, and CEO.
Esports and mobile gaming has seen significant rise in the past few years among corporates, with many new startups emerging in the space this year.
Asia Pacific is expected to account for over 53% of esports revenues by 2021, research shows.
