Microsoft is working hard to build a gaming streaming service.

It will function very similar to Netflix, but with gaming-focused content.

Just as Netflix allows you to watch movies and TV shows from any device, a streaming gaming service would let you play high-end, blockbuster video games anytime, anyplace and on any device – your phone, or tablet, or laptop, or TV. No game console required.

This is not something new as the company has since acquired gaming streaming service Mixer (a Twitch clone) back in 2016.

The new Netflix-like gaming streaming service is planned for a public trial this year.
