These are some of the ways to promote a product/website:

  • Exclusive Previews
Exclusive previews can provide a marketing boost when you have a loyal base of customers. Not only they would be more inclined to purchase a product or join your website, but they could also potentially act as word-of-mouth marketing and spread to their close friends or families which also may have a higher rate of turning into potential customers or leads. Exclusive previews also show how much you value your loyal customers.

Exclusive previews can be done through websites like Patreon which offers a subscription-based service for businesses. With this service, loyal customers can be exclusive members are able to access exclusive previews or other exclusive perks with the exchange of a monthly subscription fee.

  • Tap into influencer marketing
If your product/website is aiming at the younger generation which has an ever-increasing customer base, influencer marketing is sure a way to go about it to promote your product/website. This is because the younger generation has either grown up with or afflicted with social media on a daily basis.

Especially with Tiktok's monthly active user of 1 billion, an average user usage time of 56 minutes a day and the growing trend of "Tiktok made me buy it", it is sure one of the platforms that are worth exploring to consider in your marketing plan.

One of the examples is Shelby's Canda, an Arabic restaurant that has amassed 300k followers and 9.4 Million likes. They would always create content such as skits in their restaurant, averaging 30k likes on their TikTok.

These may be some strategies to take when promoting a new product or service

  1. Focussing on the ideal consumer base
  • Having an idea of which customers are ideal for the product you are trying to promote can help you structure how you should promote and expand accordingly
  • This will be easier and less generic than marketing to everyone and hoping to draw attention.
  • Investing in Social Media
    • Social media is an efficient way to develop a clientele that may already have an appreciation for something you want to promote.
    • Instead of marketing on a large scale to everyone, social media can quickly target your product/ service to a niche group that has an interest in the product.
    • It is best to not jump in the deep end too quickly and consult a digital marketing specialist or educate on this topic to get the results you want
    •  A research report by Zenith expects U.S. internet ad spending to increase 12.4 per cent in 2020 to over $135 billion, which accounts for 53 per cent of ad spending.
  • Organic growth and content creation
    • Ensure that there is a lot of content online available for your product through multiple channels this may be websites, product recommendations, social media etc. this way there are multiple ways for potential customers to stumble onto the things you are trying to promote.
  • Look into Lead generation options

      • This is mostly focused on nurturing potential customers/users. It is done by attracting, converting, and capturing the budding interest of prospects into potential customers buying a brand and product or services for the cause of developing sales
