Netflix adds to growing debt pile with US$2bil bond issue
Netflix Inc announced on Monday it will tap debt markets for a second time this year, aiming to raise another US$2 billion as the streaming video pioneer invests heavily in production of original shows and content acquisition to fend off intensifying competition.
BANGKOK (Nov 16): Thailand’s economic growth in July-September is expected to have slowed from the previous quarter, a Reuters poll showed, as softer exports and tourism offset a pickup in private consumption.
The median estimate from a poll of 12 economists saw seasonally-adjusted growth of 0.6 percent in the third quarter versus the second quarter. Respondents’ estimates ranged from 0.2 percent to 1.1 percent.
Gross domestic product grew 1.0 percent in the June quarter, slowing from the first quarter’s 2.1 percent, which was the fastest pace in five years.
