The USVP team foundation is grounded in four generations of high-technology venture investing. We are accomplished venture investors, former CEOs, senior executives, and technology company founders who came together to take an exemplary firm into the 21st century. Together, we combine 150 years of operating experience and investment expertise with varied backgrounds in marketing, sales, operations, finance, engineering, computing, research, and management.

We work very closely with our executives over several years, usually serving on a company’s Board of Directors. You have access, not just to your USVP board member, but also to all of the USVP team. You have the ability to draw upon the firm’s deep industry expertise, technical strengths, team approach, network of outstanding individuals, and access to capital from “blue chip” limited partners, all who have made a positive impact on hundreds of companies.

Our personnel makeup and the firm heritage combine to make us part of the company-building process and in most situations our partner on the board is the first call the entrepreneur makes when faced with strategic decisions, daily challenges, and personal support, knowing that we will be there to provide the counsel needed, which is grounded in decades of experience but with the humble understanding of our role as coaches and confidantes.
