About KS Kathiravan
At Gioco, Kathiravan is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. He leads the management team and oversees all functions but is directly responsible for targeting regional markets and establishing vendor relationships. An avid gamer since seven, Kathiravan began conceptualizing Gioco in mid-2017. Prior to founding Gioco, his dream project, Kathiravan has spearheaded the planning, conceptualization, development of marketing communications, public relations of a multi-national shipping company and six starts-up involved in FinTech, Agriculture, F&B and Properties over a span of 10 years. Kathiravan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Oklahoma, USA.

We at Gioco believe that gaming experiences are largely shaped by whom we play with. In the 1990s, the gaming world saw a massive expansion with the development of the first multi-player online game, connecting players regardless of location. Today, the enjoyment from gaming has taken a step further and is no longer limited to the participants within the game, potential involvement has spread via online platforms as gamers share their experiences, augmenting the industry from a personal or group enjoyment to an international-level experience. Sharing one’s gameplay experience has a multiplying effect on the enjoyment and benefits of gaming, it creates value and spreads the positive impacts to other players, potential players, and viewers alike.
Gioco is an all-rounder community building mobile application, aimed at connecting players from every corner of the gaming sphere, regardless of region, genre and even platform. Uniting all people with the common interest of playing games. The gaming industry has come a long way, from personal enjoyment to a global-scale content creation industry, where virtually every gamer creates content capable of reaching out to fellow gamers, friends and family. Gioco facilitates the process, empowering community building amongst fellow gamers. We encourage sharing gaming experiences broadly, instead of limiting the information to specific interest groups. This increases gaming exposure and encourages others to slowly expand their gaming comfort zone with groups of friends, to try out and play games they typically wouldn’t alone.
Initially launching as a community building and networking platform, Gioco has more features in the pipeline and will eventually evolve into an instrument to integrate the gaming community, supplementing and streamlining all gaming activities. As gamers hone their skills further and attain greater heights in their gaming prowess, they will also be able make more friends, reach out to larger audiences and maximize the value of their gaming assets.
