We're a small but mighty 10 person team with a background at Y Combinator, Tech Stars, and Rupa Health. We've built products from $5M - $75M/yr and had nine figure exits. Sunflower is currently a seed startup that has raised over $6.5M - we have a PMF, we have users, we have retention, we need better video's to use across our ads + social.
This is a chance to have an outsized impact on a company with real ownership.
What is this role?
First off, we need someone who is a killer IC video content creator capable of being in front of a camera to create UGC style content for our ads + social. You need to be up-to-date with using AI tools like Flow (because not everything should be a face talking to the camera), Suno, and the latest video models.
You need to be "generally good" at a lot of different things like video editing, lighting, sound etc, but don't have to be world class at everything. You should have a strong spike though.
And most importantly, you need to have good taste for what will have strong engagement & perform well because this isn't your first rodeo.
Skills:
- IC = Can create UGC content that slaps as an IC (you're able to be in front of the camera & lead by example).
- Video Editing = You have decent video editing skills. Can slap together medium-complexity edits.
- AI Tooling = You're an expert at using AI tools like Flow, Suno, etc. to create amazing AI content.
- Taste = You've made 1,000 pots before, and have taste for what will go viral, have strong engagement, and perform well.
- BONUS points = if you can do some basic level ad management / uploading of content into meta ads + FB
Deliverables:
- 30 UGC video ads a month that you make
- 50-100+ UGC video ads by managing our UGC creators
- 60-100 high performing memes a month for our social (AI b-roll + suno + memes over top)
TLDR you're going to be making a boat load of content that gets good engagement for both organic + paid channels. Primarily Facebook.
