The Role

We are looking for a creative and driven UI/UX Design Intern to lead the design vision at Vocera. As one of the first design hires, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our tools for AI Voice Agents. You’ll collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that simplify complex workflows for developers, QA engineers, and business users.

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery to high-fidelity execution.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to transform requirements into elegant, functional, and user-centric designs.
• Design intuitive dashboards and experiences that help users monitor, test, and debug AI Voice Agent performance.
• Build interactive prototypes to bring new concepts to life and gather feedback from stakeholders.
• Define and evolve Vocera’s design system to ensure consistency across products.
• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to validate design decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• Explore novel ways to visualize data and workflows, creating interfaces that simplify complex insights.

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency with Figma
• Experience in product design with a focus on SaaS, developer tools, or AI-driven applications.
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI/UX design and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of data visualization, user research, and usability principles.
• Ability to translate technical workflows into user-friendly designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to align design efforts with product and engineering goals.
• Passion for creating impactful products at the intersection of AI and usability.
• Bonus: Experience designing tools for developers, observability platforms, or testing frameworks.
