We are seeking a mechanical design intern to help upgrade our humanoid teleoperation system. As an intern, you will:
- Improve the existing mechanical system through innovative design and enhanced actuation
 
- Design, prototype, and assemble mechanical subsystems for robotic applications
 
- Optimize human-robot interaction through thoughtful and ergonomic design
 
- Test system robustness through real-time teleoperation of a humanoid platform
 
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate hardware with software and control systems
 
 Proficiency with CAD software for mechanical design
- Familiarity with prototyping methods, including 3D printing
 
- Understanding of mechanical assemblies, including fasteners and basic design principles
 
- Experience integrating motors or actuators into mechanical systems
 
- Comfortable with hands-on assembly and mechanical testing
 
- Exposure to microcontrollers and electromechanical systems is a plus
 
- Knowledge of Python or C++ is a plus
