About the role
Our #1 priority today is to build an extraordinarily strong engineering team. We operate critical infrastructure for our 700+ customers, including public companies, and the difficulty of the problem domain means that we’re extremely selective in our engineering hiring. As the first recruiter at the company you will have total ownership and creative freedom to convince the best engineers in the world to join our team.
In This Role, You Will
- Build out our technical recruitment process from the ground up.
- Be given autonomy and full resources needed to find the top 1% of engineers.
- Work directly with the founders and engineering leads to set high level strategy.
- Triple our engineering headcount, while maintaining an extremely high talent bar.

You have:
- Deep curiosity about what motivates candidates and about what differentiates a great engineer from a truly excellent engineer.
- Strong zeal to learn the nuances of software development.
- Demonstrated creativity in finding top candidates wherever they are. For example, while hiring engineers, you might have:
- Read engineering blogs
- Written an engineering blog
- Posted on Hacker News
- Hosted events, meetups and hackathons
- Bonus points if you've done something we haven't even thought of!
- 2-6 years of full lifecycle technical recruiting experience at high growth tech startups.
Ideally you:
- Were an engineer, studied engineering, or have a technical background.
- Have previously founded your own startup.
- Have worked at a developer tools or software infrastructure company.
