We're a startup that specializes in applying the latest advancements in AI to the anime and video game industry. Our AI artist assistant helps illustrators and animators finish pieces up to 10x faster, and we're always exploring new areas of AI application in gaming.
As a Technical Artist, you'll be responsible for bridging the gap between the art and programming teams. You'll use your knowledge of art and technology to develop tools and pipelines that streamline the art creation process and enable our artists to create stunning visuals in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the art and programming teams to develop tools and pipelines that improve the art creation process
- Develop shaders and materials that achieve the desired look and feel for our games and applications
- Implement and optimize art assets within the engine, ensuring optimal performance across a variety of platforms and devices
- Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to art and animation
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure that art assets are delivered on time and to the highest standards of quality
- Continuously evaluate and improve our art production processes and workflows
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in art and technology, and apply them to our games and products
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a technical artist or related role
- Strong understanding of art fundamentals, including composition, color theory, and lighting
- Proficiency in C#
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Lua, or MEL
- Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of 3D software such as Maya or Blender
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for anime, gaming, and Japanese culture
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to art and animation
