Tech Lead Manager - DevOps

We are looking for a Tech Lead Manager at TRM to build and manage a fast-growing team responsible for TRM's underlying devops and infrastructure. From design to deployment, you'll lead the technical vision and execution of mission-critical systems that enable TRM's products, platform, and services to scale reliably and securely. As an engineering leader, you will be deeply involved in the technical details and ultimately champion your team to build a safer financial system for billions of people.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and develop a team of talented and high-impact engineers, providing cultural, technical, and hands-on leadership.
• Provide regular coaching and technical mentorship to your immediate team as well as the broader engineering department.
• Take direct responsibility for the quality and delivery of the team's work, and manage the end-to-end availability and performance of critical services.
• Drive work based on goals and measurable outcomes that are accountable to KPIs pertaining to reliability, resiliency, durability, and uptime.
• Encourage best practices in design and usability, creating scalable engines with thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Resolve escalations arising from operations and work with various teams to solve production incidents through to resolution.
• Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives and identify upcoming opportunities and risks.

Some of the traits we value:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years experience in a DevOps, Infra and/or SRE role
• 2+ years of experience managing DevOps/CI team
• 3+ years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• 5+ years of experience building real-time and distributed system architecture and/or deployment and monitoring infrastructure, from whiteboard to production
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or other infrastructure as code technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python, and SQL with experience across the spectrum of data engineering and/or data operations.
• Successful track record building, leading and mentoring a team of software engineers
• Experience designing and architecting continuous integration (CI) systems from the ground up
• Experience building scalable and distributed services based on Python, Go or Swift
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
