What does the role entail?
A Tableau Data Analyst at Prodigal works within their respective areas to develop and modify reports and dashboards, provide connections to new and existing data sources, prepare data for use in Tableau, develop extracts, publish data sources and workbooks, develop custom scripts, coordinate releases of data and workbooks, as well as perform technical tasks such as integration with Databricks, MongoDB, Amazon RDS and GSheets.
You will closely work with the Product and Customer Success teams.
Tableau Data Analyst @ Prodigal responsibilities include:
- Preparing data for use by Tableau.
- Establishing connections to Data Sources.
- Adding or Creating Dimensions, Measures and Calculations.
- Performing Data Modeling in Tableau Desktop.
- Developing Workbooks and Hyper Extracts on Tableau Desktop.
- Publishing Workbooks and Data Sources to multi-region Tableau Server sites.
- Refreshing Extracts on Tableau Servers.
- Monitoring the status of extract.
- Resolving any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources.
- Following up with Managers for any required approvals.
What we look for:
- 1+ years hands on experience on Tableau Desktop and SQL; Tableau course certification is a plus
- Strong business and analytical skills; a driven individual who works closely with stakeholders to identify goals and analyze current processes to determine what can be improved to achieve their desired outcome.
- Willing to have flexible working hours
- Good in problem analysis, troubleshooting, requirement analysis
- Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency
- Handle details accurately and in a timely manner
Good to have but not a must:
- Python or any other programming language
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Hands on experience with Databricks
