About The Role:
Do you love startups? Are you one of the most friendly, outgoing, and helpful people you know?
We’re looking to add a Startup Business Development Associate / Community Partner to our growing team. In this role you’ll contact and network with startup founders around the world to offer our services and resources, heavily discounted, to the startup ecosystem. We want to help startups get security right from the beginning.
This role involves significant growth potential but is not well suited to people without some startup ecosystem experience. The ideal candidate will come to the role ready to hit the ground running with existing experience in sales, marketing, business development or similar.
This is a hybrid remote position and may involve some travel to attend events. We’re accepting applicants living in in or willing to relocate to the NYC, Miami, or Bay Area.
What You'll Achieve:
Conduct a large volume of cold outreach daily to early-stage startup founders
Network with accelerators, investors, and university programs focused on helping early-stage startups
Book meetings with the founders, CEOs, CTOs, and COOs of companies
Promote Agency’s offering within the startup ecosystem
Respond to inbound requests for our Agency for Startups program.
Work alongside our sales team for any relationships that escalate into purchases.
Skills You'll Need to Bring:
At least 2 years of experience working at a startup or for an organization closely related to startups
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills to share our story with founders.
Experience working within a CRM (HubSpot preferred) to log sales activity and prospects
Experience using LinkedIn to connect with prospects
Basic knowledge of software and technology sales process
Nice to Haves:
Previously was a founder
Worked in VC or early-stage investing
Worked with or applied to a startup accelerator
Worked at the startup outreach team or program at another tech company
