As a Staff Software Engineer , you will help architect and build the core systems that power the Confido platform. You’ll lead the development of major product and infrastructure initiatives—from AI-powered document ingestion to large-scale financial analytics systems.
This role combines deep technical ownership with product impact , working closely with engineering, product, and customers to turn complex operational workflows into scalable software.
Location: New York, NY (Relocation supported)
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development of major platform and product systems
- Architect scalable infrastructure for financial data processing and analytics
- Build systems that ingest and process financial data across multiple sources
- Develop AI-powered workflows for document ingestion and financial automation
- Partner with product and leadership to shape technical strategy and roadmap
- Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team

What We're Looking For
Required
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong systems design and architecture experience
- Proven ability to build and scale complex production systems
- Strong product instincts and ability to translate real-world workflows into software
Nice to Have
- Experience working with AI/ML-powered systems
- Experience with large-scale data pipelines or analytics infrastructure
- Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional teams
- Interest in early-stage startups and high-ownership roles
- CS degree or equivalent experience
