WHAT YOU'LL DO
» Responsibilities:
· Ensure our APIs are secure, reliable, and performant
· Build delightful APIs and experiences for our users
· Turn ambiguous problems that our developer users are facing into concrete products — from proposal, to kick-off, to building, and launch
· Work directly with large enterprises to understand their unique needs, and set expectations around SLAs and integration times
· Establish the tone, and best practices for all of backend engineering at Untether Labs
· Help sculpt the Untether Labs team, via recruiting and setting the tone for our culture
WHO YOU ARE
» Minimum requirements:
· 5+ years in engineering across a wide range of products
· A strong passion for API design and amazing developer experiences
· An ability to work across teams and companies to understand and quickly solve our users’ problems
· Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different functions, stakeholders, and subject matter experts
· Attention to detail, especially around performance, accessibility, reliability, and security
» Preferred qualifications:
· Experience building scalable architecture
· Demonstrated experience in leading large initiatives across engineering teams, and working across company lines
· Strong, demonstrated communication & writing abilities, both in terms of documentation intended for end-users, and executive/strategic comms intended to drive team direction
· Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what will last and scale
