Tint is Stripe for Insurance. We make it easy for tech platforms to embed insurance into their products. We help companies such as Deel, Guesty, Outdoorsy, Boatsetter, Riders Share, Neighbor, amongst others, unlock the growth of their core business and improve profitability with insurance.

About the Role
You will join our implementation pod and be the main point of contact for developers from our customers implementing the Tint API on their side. Your main goal would be to ensure success for developers using our product.
Early on, current team members will devote a large amount of time to teaching you and helping you get to a level of comfort and expertise with Tint, its services, and how we interact with users. Later, we’d love for you to take on this role with newer members of the team, especially since teaching is a great way to learn and to reinforce what you know.
You don't need to be familiar with all our technical stack. We expect however that you ramp up quickly on these technologies, with the help of more senior engineers. Our stack is based on Node: we are using React, GraphQL, Express, or Terraform (to handle our AWS stack),
Responsibilities

Interact with users by email, Slack, and video-calls helping them solve their thorniest Tint integration challenges

Gain unique insights into how engineers building the newest or most interesting businesses make use of Stripe

Optimize our internal and external documentation for all of Tint products, including Policy Management, Claims Management, Decision Engine, Rating Engine, and more

Take an analytical approach to tracking points of friction for users, and then work with other teams to make those parts of Tint better
Requirements

Have at least 2 years of software development experience or significant experience building web or mobile apps

Understand how to write good, clean code in multiple programming languages, as well as how to read code that might not be quite as well written. General software engineering skills are important to us, as we understand that new languages and frameworks can be learned if you understand the concepts.

Enjoy writing in a clear and quick manner in English

Are comfortable working with a great deal of autonomy and limited supervision

Like interacting with new people, sometimes chatting live with many at the same time

Enjoy the puzzle of solving open-ended problems, both individually and as a member of the team

Are an expert at talking about technical concepts, and would be comfortable explaining how Stripe works to both technical and non-technical audiences

Love constantly learning and re-learning a changing technical product, even when you’re a little out of your depth

Can empathize with users of all experience levels and understand their questions to quickly grasp the real issues
