Software / Robotics Engineer (Intern / Co-op) – Yummy Future

Yummy Future is a food & beverage robotics startup. We design, build and operate robotic coffee shops. As a new business, we are looking for highly energetic and innovative individuals to be part of our team. Primary Location

• United States – Illinois – Champaign

Function

• Intern (part-time) / Co-op (full-time)

Responsibilities

• Assists with the definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture, and/or maintenance of Yummy Future robotic products
• Fluent with Python, C++
• Embedded system experience with microcontrollers: Arduino, ESP32, STM32

Qualifications

• Have experience solving planning problems with operating systems:
  • Simple data structures: queues, heaps, stacks, lists
  • Synchronization: primitives, memory semantics, mutual exclusion, semaphores, scheduling, and race conditions
  • Exceptions and signals: exceptions due to instructions, memory accesses, and floating-point operations; signal semantics and delivery
  • Networking programming: socket abstractions, basics of low-level network protocols, relationship to kernel I/O abstractions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-oriented, team environment

Relocation

• Relocation to Champaign, Illinois is needed
