What you’ll be doing
As an engineer at Invert, you’ll work on all parts of the product. You’ll be designing and building data models, APIs, and user experiences in the highly complex world of digital biology.
Responsibilities
- Contribute day to day in delivering our cycle goals and long term visions by balancing trade-offs between: speed of product experimentation, reliability, UX, and technical debt.
- Engineer solutions across Invert’s full stack: functionality and styling in the frontend, APIs and business logic on the backend, plus database models, ingestion pipelines, and more.
- Actively engage with our customers and users in collecting feedback early, and often, on product usage, new product features and territory to cover.
- Take (shared) ownership of: product reliability, effectiveness of our processes, and tooling in continuously improving the experience to use and work with our software.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience as a startup founder or employed at a high-growth startup.
- Experience within the space of biology, ideally synthetic biology or fermentation specifically (nice to have!)
