Job description for Software Engineer at Kin Habits
As a member of the founding team, you will be an integral part of defining the technical direction, establishing our engineering culture, and influencing the product.
You'll have an immediate and direct impact on the roadmap and lead all our engineering efforts. Working directly and collaboratively with everyone, including the CEO, to build functional and delightful experiences to shape all future products.
Ideally, you have experience in consumer-facing mobile apps and you're passionate about human behavior and how technology can positively influence human lives.

What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the team to execute on the product roadmap and company goals
- Build and scale our React Native app
- Build and scale our Ruby on Rails + GraphQL server
- Manage front-end and back-end development projects and resources
- Ensure reliability and efficiency of our products and API
- Review PRs and provide clear, actionable feedback to level up team members and quality of produced engineering
Who You Are
- Designed, built, scaled, and maintained production frontend/backend systems
- Write high quality, well-tested code to meet users' needs
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team that touches many parts of the systems.
- 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- Extensive knowledge of RoR, React Native, GraphQL, PostgreSQL
- You’re committed to collaboration and you are able to work well with other business units
- Well-versed in current technological trends and technical frameworks
- Passion for learning about human behavior and the psychology of building healthy habits
