A Social Media Manager helps to increase exposure through social media platforms. They work alongside a specialized team to reach your brand's goals. From creating monthly editorial calendars to using marketing strategies to deliver your brand's message in creative ways, a Social Media Manager is the link between your business and your social media followers. More than just attracting new customers, a Social Media Manager analyzes data to determine which initiatives work best and capitalize on this information to continue scaling your business.
Though advanced education is not necessary, many employers seek to hire candidates with bachelor's degree in marketing, business, advertising, public relations, or a related field. Additional certifications such as Google Analytics and Google AdWords generally are preferred. Individuals who have a firm understanding of marketing principles and work well in a team setting tend to excel in the position of Social Media Manager.
What You Will Do
• Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency
• Develop social media strategy and planning for multiple official accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok)
• Conduct detailed analysis of social engagement performance and make actionable recommendations for both short-term and long-term perspectives
• Manage social media ads boosting strategy; monitor and optimize budget efficiency on day to day basis
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of cross-functional projects/campaigns
• Efficiently execute publishing, tracking, and boosting tools in all social platforms
• Provide competitive insights and conduct social media listening on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Identify social content opportunities that drive customer, seller value, branding, and communication
• Cooperate to define, execute strategy & planning roadmap, report, and projects
• Manage and implement all organic social engagement campaigns across social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok)
• Coordinate with other cross-functional departments like analytics, commercial, and product owners
Requirements
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant work experience developing social media content for a company/brand or working experience at digital or advertising agencies - preferably in the e-commerce space
• A background in social media or digital media
• Highly skilled in online/social media communications.Drive, competence, flexibility, and a willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with people at all levels within/outside the corporation
• Experience working within a social media environment
• Digital savvy with a passion for the digital landscape and knowledge of how platforms work, with experience in social listening and data analytics
• Comfortable with using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Agile and able to adapt quickly. Can operate in a high-growth business where change is constant, and flexibility is key to ensure success for the greater team
