Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Intern to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, CA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing while contributing to our mission of sustainability and ocean conservation. You will play a key role in shaping our online presence, engaging with our community, and promoting our brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Develop engaging and visually appealing content for our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok) that highlights the beauty and health benefits of wild fish.
• Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all platforms to foster a positive and engaged community.
• Social Media Strategy: Assist in creating and implementing social media strategies that align with our mission to elevate sustainable fishing practices.
• Analytics Reporting: Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate the success of campaigns and suggest improvements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute innovative campaigns that resonate with our audience.
• Research Trends: Stay up-to-date with social media trends and sustainable fishing news to inform content and strategies.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, especially Instagram and TikTok.
• Experience with Adobe design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and asset creation for social media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with an eye for design and storytelling.
• Passion for sustainability and marine conservation is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Must be located in or near El Segundo, CA, or willing to commute.
